For I. Friday...not a phoenix, but the idea of the phoenix is the idea of change and renewal, and this is trying to capture that. Also the dragon is the masculine partner to the phoenix in Taiwan... yin and yang, dragon and phoenix, masculine and feminine.

Kat! Wandered onto your blog from facebook. Sounds like you're having incredible experiences in Taiwan and it's really nice to see your cont. art :) Anyhoo I dunno if you've done already, but since my parents moved back to Taiwan this summer, definitely call up my parents if you're ever in the mood for some old-time meet-up.
